Plant and machinery trailer hire, Sydney
A 3.5 tonne flat top plant trailer for ride-on mowers, mini loaders and mini excavators, with steel ramps and electric brakes. Pickup is in Hornsby, on Sydney's Upper North Shore.

Check the weight first
Two numbers matter: the trailer carries up to 2470 kg, and the ramps are rated 2000 kg for the pair. If you're driving a machine up the ramps, its operating weight, including the bucket or attachment, needs to be under 2000 kg. You'll find it on the machine's plate or in the hire company's spec sheet.

Hiring the machine as well?
If you're collecting a hired mini excavator or loader, ask the hire company for its exact weight. Add the trailer's 1030 kg to get what your car has to tow. A 1.7 t excavator on this trailer comes to about 2730 kg.
Tying down
Centre the machine with slightly more weight in front of the axles, rest the bucket or blade on the deck, and chain or strap it down at each corner using the machine's tie-down points. Tracks on a steel deck can slide, so stop and re-check after a few kilometres.
